Full-Day Pre-School A, B & C
In these rooms, children can begin as young as 3 years old. The center is noted for its Full Day, child-led developmentally appropriate Preschool program for children who are 3, 4, and 5 years old. Children learn best when they are engaged and interested in the topic of discussion. Teachers take the children’s lead when developing their lesson plans for the students. Teachers use the creative curriculum and the children’s interest to plan activities that stimulate a young child’s growth physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually. Classroom curriculum is aligned with the Illinois Early Learning Standards set by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Pre-kindergarten Division. We incorporate activities for each developmental domain: language, math/science, art, dramatic play, fine motor, and gross motor. Classrooms are arranged into interest areas that encourage active hands on learning experiences .
Testimonials
We chose Zearing for our 3 year old because it provides a consistent schedule for him through the week. We were dropping off/picking up and transitioning him multiple times a day and he was transitioning throughout the week which we felt was causing him stress. Since putting him on a consistent schedule with his friends and teachers at Zearing, his behavior has improved and is overall happier.
We chose ZCEC's preschool program for our daughter because of the consistency it provides for her. For 8 hours of her day she has the same 2 teachers engaging her, teaching her, encouraging her, and caring for her. These 2 ladies are a dynamic duo and I can't think of anyone more suited to help my child learn and grow. What matters to me, as the parent of a 3 year old, is not that she can write every letter of the alphabet (though she's learning that too!) but that she is capable of sharing, listening, empathizing, and is able to express herself in an environment where she feels safe and loved.
We love Zearing Child Enrichment Center! They have a great program with the most caring staff from the infant room all the way to school age. Our child started the year transitioning to a different program. In our experience, attending 2 programs was too many transitions for him and he began to struggle. We made the decision to keep him at Zearing full time to lessen the changes throughout the day, and it has helped tremendously. He gets so much out of the wonderful program that Zearing offers! He is socializing, learning self-help skills, getting rich art experiences, spending time outdoors. and science; through all of this he is learning the basics of letters and numbers that he needs to know before going to kindergarten. The teaching staff at Zearing is attentive to his individual needs and is helping my child succeed. He is now ready for kindergarten and he won't go for another 8 months! The brightwheel app is a plus as I get to see what my child is learning while he is at Zearing. We could not be happier with the decision to have chosen Zearing as our child's preschool program!
